Linking Note Templates for Each Patient Appointment

For DeepScribe’s API-based integration to work with AdvancedMD, it is imperative that a Note Template be linked for each patient appointment prior to DeepScribe uploading a SOAP note. AdvancedMD stipulates this requirement. Once linked, DeepScribe will be able to automatically push the note into the correct fields.

This guide will walk you through how to properly link a Note Template to a patient appointment. The screenshots below were taken in AdvancedMD’s Classic mode, however, the process is similar in their newer versions.

Steps to Link a Note Template

1. Prior to completing your DeepScribe recording, select “Add Linked” > “Patient Note” from the patient chart or by right clicking their appointment in the calendar view.

2. Select the correct Note Template for the patient appointment (Note: It must be a template that has been integrated with DeepScribe during the mapping process). Be sure to click “Save”.

If you have added a linked noted for your patient appointment in AdvancedMD and your DeepScribe encounter is labeled "imported" but you do not see the note in your EHR, please reach out to the DeepScribe support team for assistance.
