Formatting CSVs for Appointments

DeepScribe offers the ability for users to bulk upload your patient schedule via CSV in the Appointments page. If you are using the template to upload a CSV, refer to the below requirements.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure the file type you are uploading is .csv!


Appointment Manager

Click the "Bulk Upload" button to find the CSV template to download.

  • Patient name

    • E.g. John Doe, Jane Smith

    • Notes: There is no validation for this field

  • Gender

    • Options: Female, Male, Nonbinary

  • Pronouns

    • This will automatically populate if Gender is already selected, but can be overwritten with a different selection

    • Options: He/Him/His, She/Her/Hers, They/Them/Theirs

  • Time

    • Format: HH:MM AM/PM or Military Time

    • E.g. 01:23 AM, 11:30 PM, 15:00

  • Date

    • Format: YYYY-MM-DD or MM-DD-YYYY

    • E.g. 2024-03-09, 03-09-2024

  • Visit Type (Optional)

    • Options: Initial, Follow-up

  • Provider

    • For Admins and Super Admins only

      • If you are NOT an Admin or Super Admin, you should never have another user’s email/ID in the provider field

    • E.g. [email protected] (this field is case sensitive)

    • Must be the email address used for DeepScribe login (or DrChrono ID for DrChrono customers)

    • Valid emails include any DeepScribe users in your organization or company, respectively
