The "Verbalized findings only" objective customization option would only input the physical exam findings (both normal and abnormal) that were verbalized during the recording(s), rather than an entire standardized exam template. This option could be beneficial for users who do not want/have standardized exam templates. For best results, make sure to use the word “exam” followed by the body system (e.g. Neurological or Lungs) or category (Appearance, Affect). If no findings are mentioned and "Verbalized findings only" is selected, the exam remains blank.

This differs from our alternative Abnormals Only template option, which captures only the abnormal/positive exam findings verbalized during the recording.

Example
Transcript:
“On exam, throat is erythematous. Neck is supple. Left lower extremity has 1+ pitting edema. Affect is flat.”

Outcome:
Throat: Erythematous.

Neck: Supple.

Extremities: Left lower extremity has 1+ pitting edema.
Affect: Flat.
